If you are traveling by car, head towards Bușteni, Romania. From the center of Bușteni, take the DN1 road north towards the mountains. Look for signs indicating the way to the Bucegi Mountains and the cable car station. Park your car at the Bușteni cable car station, where you will find parking facilities (note that parking fees may apply). Take the cable car to Babele station, which is situated at an elevation of about 2,200 meters.

Once you arrive at Babele station via the cable car, follow the marked hiking trails toward Brâna Mare. The trail is well maintained and follows a scenic route along the mountain ridges. It’s recommended to take the trail towards the Sphinx, and from there, follow the signs leading to Brâna Mare. The hike should take approximately 1-1.5 hours depending on your pace.

For those opting for public transportation, you can take a train or bus to Bușteni from major cities like Bucharest or Brașov. Once in Bușteni, follow the same instructions as if you were driving: head towards the Bușteni cable car station.
