Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Sinaia, which is a common base for exploring the Bucegi Mountains. Head northwest on DN1 towards Timișu de Sus. After approximately 7 km, turn left onto DJ 713 towards the Bucegi Natural Park entrance. Follow this road for about 10 km until you reach the parking area near the Bucegi Cable Car station in the village of Bușteni. From here, you can park your car (note that parking fees may apply).

  • Cable Car

    Once at the Bucegi Cable Car station, purchase a ticket for the cable car ride to Babele (approximately 30 RON for a round trip). The cable car will take you to an altitude of about 2,200 meters, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains. After disembarking, follow the marked hiking trails towards Cascada Caraiman.

  • Hiking

    From the Babele station, take the hiking trail that leads to Cascada Caraiman. The hike is moderate and takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your pace.
