Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the main road (DN57) that runs through Cheile Nerei National Park. Head towards Comuna Carașova and look for signs indicating Iabalcea. You will need to turn onto DJ581 towards Iabalcea. Continue on this road for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach Iabalcea. Once in Iabalcea, follow the local signs to Peștera Comarnic, which is located just outside the village. There is a parking area available near the cave entrance.

For those using public transportation, take a bus from the nearest town, such as Baile Herculane or Resita, to Carașova. Buses run regularly, but be sure to check the schedule ahead of time as it may vary. Once you arrive in Carașova, you can either walk (approximately 4 km) or take a local taxi to Iabalcea. Taxis can be found at the bus station or can be pre-booked. The cost for the taxi ride is typically around 20-30 RON. Upon reaching Iabalcea, follow the local signs to Peștera Comarnic.
