Public Transport
From the city center (Piața Unirii), take bus number 30 from the bus station near the Unirii Square (Autogara Fany). The bus ride to the Lake Tarnița stop takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Make sure to get off at the 'Lacul Tarnița' bus stop. From the bus stop, walk approximately 10 minutes along the path leading towards the lake.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in the city center. Head towards Bulevardul 21 Decembrie 1989 and follow the road signs that lead to the outskirts of Cluj-Napoca. The route to Lake Tarnița is approximately 20 kilometers and takes about 1-1.5 hours depending on your cycling speed. Follow the main road and enjoy the scenic views along the way.
Walking
Although it is quite a distance to walk from the city center, if you are feeling adventurous, you can walk towards the lake. Start at Piața Unirii and head towards Bulevardul Eroilor. Continue on the main road that leads out of the city, which will eventually take you to Lake Tarnița. This is roughly a 20-kilometer walk and will take you about 4-5 hours, so plan accordingly and wear comfortable shoes.
