If you are driving, start your journey from Târgoviște, the capital of Dâmbovița County. Head southeast on DN72 towards Moroeni. After approximately 34 km, you will reach the village of Moroeni. Continue on the road as it becomes DJ713. Follow the signs for Barajul Bolboci. The dam is located about 15 km from Moroeni, and you will find parking available near the site.

To reach Barajul Bolboci by public transport, you can take a train or bus from Târgoviște to Moroeni. Buses frequently operate from Târgoviște to Moroeni and the fare is usually around 10-15 RON.
