Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Târgoviște, the capital of Dâmbovița. Get on DN72 and head towards Ploiești. After approximately 50 km, take the exit towards Brașov on DN1. Continue on DN1 until you reach Brașov. Look for signs for the city center and follow them. Once in Brașov, navigate to Str Gheorghe Barițiu. Turnul Negru is near the Black Church, which is a notable landmark in the area. There is limited parking available near the Black Church, so you may need to find a parking spot in the nearby streets.
Public Transportation
To reach Turnul Negru using public transportation, take a train from Târgoviște to Brașov. The journey takes about 2 hours. Upon arrival at Brașov train station, you can either take a taxi or public bus to the city center. If you choose the bus, look for routes that go towards 'Piața Sfatului' (the Council Square). From there, it’s a short walk to Str Gheorghe Barițiu, where Turnul Negru is located near the Black Church. Be prepared for a walk of about 10-15 minutes from the bus drop-off point.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route without the hassle of public transport, consider taking a taxi from Brașov train station directly to Turnul Negru. The taxi ride should take around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver or ask for a receipt to avoid overcharging. The cost will typically range from 20 to 30 RON.
