Car
If you're driving from any location in Dobruja, head towards Sighișoara. Use the main road E60 which connects to DN14. Follow the signs to Sighișoara. Once you arrive in Sighișoara, look for Scara Şcolarilor street. You can park your car in one of the nearby parking lots or find street parking. The Covered Stairway is located on Scara Şcolarilor, and you will see it as you approach the area. Make sure to check local parking regulations to avoid fines.
Public Transportation
To reach The Covered Stairway using public transportation, take a bus or train to Sighișoara. If you are coming from Constanța, there are direct train services to Sighișoara that you can catch from the central train station. The journey takes approximately 3-4 hours, and tickets cost around 30-50 RON. Once you arrive at Sighișoara train station, you can either walk (around 20 minutes) to Scara Şcolarilor or take a local taxi for a small fee (approximately 15-20 RON). Follow the street signs towards the old town, and you will find The Covered Stairway on Scara Şcolarilor.
Walking
If you are already in Sighișoara, head towards the historic center. The Covered Stairway is located a short walk from the main square. From the main square, walk towards the direction of the Clock Tower, and then turn onto Strada Nicolae Balcescu. Continue straight until you reach Scara Şcolarilor. The stairway will be on your left. The walk should take around 10-15 minutes.
