Car

If you are traveling by car, start from Târgu Jiu, the capital of Gorj County. Head south on DN67 towards Polovragi. The drive takes approximately 40 minutes (around 34 km). Once you reach the village of Polovragi, follow the signs to Peștera Ascunsă. The cave is located about 2 km from the village center. You may have to park your car in a designated area near the entrance and walk the remaining distance.

To reach Peștera Ascunsă by public transportation, take a bus from Târgu Jiu to Polovragi. Buses leave frequently from the Târgu Jiu bus station, and the journey takes around 50 minutes.
