If you are driving from Târgu Jiu, take the DJ665 road heading towards Baia de Fier. Continue on DJ665 for about 30 km until you reach the village of Baia de Fier. Once in Baia de Fier, follow the signs to Pădurea Colorată, which is located just outside the village. There is no entrance fee to access the area.
