    If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the center of Harghita. Head east on DN12 (E578) toward Miercurea Ciuc. Continue on DN12 for about 15 km until you reach the town of Popoiu. In Popoiu, turn left onto Str. Cetății, where you will find Rákóczi-vár on your right. There is parking available nearby, but be sure to check for any local parking regulations.

    To reach Rákóczi-vár using public transportation, begin at the Harghita bus station. Take a bus heading towards Miercurea Ciuc. The bus fare is approximately 10 RON. Get off at the Popoiu stop, which takes about 30 minutes. From the bus stop, walk about 1 km east along Str. Cetății until you reach Rákóczi-vár. Be sure to check local bus schedules for the most current times.

    If you are already in Popoiu, you can easily walk to Rákóczi-vár. From the center of Popoiu, head east on Str. Cetății for approximately 1 km. The fortress will be on your right-hand side. This walk will take about 15-20 minutes.
