Car

If you're traveling by car in Harghita, head towards Sub Cetate. From the center of Harghita, take the DJ123 road towards Sub Cetate. After approximately 30 km, you will reach the junction with DC168. Turn left onto DC168 and continue for about 5 km. Zete vára will be located on your right. Make sure to look for roadside signs indicating the site.

Public Transportation

To reach Zete vára by public transportation, you can take a bus from Harghita to Sub Cetate. Buses leave regularly from the main bus station in Harghita. Once you arrive in Sub Cetate, you can either walk or take a taxi to DC168. The walk will take around 1 hour (approximately 5 km), heading towards the direction of the castle. If you opt for a taxi, it should cost around 20-30 RON, depending on the driver.

Walking

If you find yourself in Sub Cetate and prefer to walk, head to DC168 from the center of the village. The route is straightforward; follow the road signs. The walk is about 5 km and will take approximately 1 hour. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes as the terrain may vary.
