From the center of Hunedoara, head west on Strada 22 Decembrie towards Strada Nicolae Titulescu. Continue straight onto DN66 (E79) for about 15 km. Follow the signs for 'Cascada Maria' as you turn left onto DJ687. Keep following this road for approximately 5 km until you reach the parking area near the waterfall. There may be a small parking fee of around 5 RON.

Start at the central bus station in Hunedoara. Take a local bus heading towards Hațeg, which usually departs every hour. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to 'Cascada Maria' (commonly known as 'Cascada Măriii'). The bus ride should take about 30 minutes. From the bus stop, it is a short 15-minute walk to the waterfall, following the signs along the path. Be sure to check the bus schedule for the return trip.
