Car
From the center of Hunedoara, head east on Strada 1 Decembrie 1918 towards Strada Mărășești. Continue straight for about 1.5 km until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto DJ687. Follow this road for approximately 10 km. You will pass through the village of Sântuhalm. After about 10 km, turn left onto DJ686. Continue for 7 km until you reach Colț Fortress, which will be on your left. There is parking available near the fortress, but be mindful of any parking fees.
Public Transportation
Start at the Hunedoara bus station (Autogara Hunedoara). Look for a bus heading towards Răchitova or Săcămaș. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Suseni' stop. From there, you will need to walk approximately 3 km to Colț Fortress. Follow the main road (DJ686) until you reach the fortress. Ensure to check the bus schedules in advance as they may vary, and be prepared for a short walk after disembarking.
Taxi or Rideshare
For a more convenient option, consider taking a taxi or using a rideshare app. Taxis can be found around Hunedoara or can be called to your location. The drive should take approximately 25 minutes from the center of Hunedoara. Make sure to agree on a fare before starting your journey or check if the taxi uses a meter. This option may be more expensive than public transport, generally costing between 50 to 100 RON depending on the time of day and traffic conditions.
