Car
From central Hunedoara, head southwest on Strada 1 Decembrie 1918 toward Strada Mihai Viteazul. After approximately 1.5 km, turn left onto DC65. Continue on DC65 for about 5 km until you reach the entrance to Peștera Șura Mare. There is a small parking area nearby, but be mindful of any local parking regulations. Note that the road may have some rough patches, so drive cautiously.
Public Transportation
Start at the Hunedoara bus station (Autogara Hunedoara). Take a bus heading towards the village of Sălașu de Sus or a similar route that stops near the area of DC65. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the nearest stop, you may need to walk approximately 1.5 km to reach the entrance of Peștera Șura Mare. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as service may be limited, especially on weekends.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and are already near the outskirts of Hunedoara, you can walk to Peștera Șura Mare. From the center of Hunedoara, head southwest and follow the path towards DC65. The walk will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, so ensure you have adequate time and water for the journey. The route may involve walking along some unpaved paths, so wear comfortable shoes.
