Car
If you're traveling by car, start by getting onto DN66 (Drum Național 66) from Hunedoara. Head southeast towards Simeria for about 7 km. After passing through Simeria, continue on DN66 for another 2 km until you reach the signs for Ruinele Hanului. Turn left onto the road that leads to the ruins. There is a small parking area near the site, which is free of charge.
Public Transportation
To reach Ruinele Hanului via public transportation, take a local bus from Hunedoara to Simeria. Buses depart frequently from the main bus station in Hunedoara (Autogara Hunedoara). The journey takes about 20 minutes and costs approximately 5 RON. Once you arrive in Simeria, look for a taxi or consider walking the remaining 2 km to the ruins. Taxis usually charge around 10-15 RON for the short trip.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and want to walk from Simeria to Ruinele Hanului, it's about a 25-minute walk. From the bus station in Simeria, head southeast towards the DN66 highway. Follow the road signs towards the ruins. The path is straightforward, but be cautious as the roads can be busy. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes!
