Car
If you are driving from the center of Baia Mare, head southeast on DN18 towards Bârsana. After approximately 30 km, you will reach the village of Bârsana. As you enter the village, follow the signs for Bârsana Monastery. The monastery is located on DJ186, and you will see the entrance to the monastery on your left side. There is parking available near the entrance.
Public Transportation
From Baia Mare, take a bus to Bârsana. Buses frequently depart from the Baia Mare bus station to Bârsana. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Bârsana, walk towards the main road (DJ186) and head southeast. Follow the road for about 1 km until you see the signs for Bârsana Monastery. The monastery will be on your left.
Taxi
You can also take a taxi from Baia Mare directly to Bârsana Monastery. Simply request the driver to take you to 'Mănăstirea Bârsana', and they will know the location. The drive will take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic.
