As you enter Desești, look for local signs directing you to Fântânile Reci, which is approximately 5 km from the town center. The road may get a bit narrow and winding, so drive carefully. Parking is available near the site.

To reach Fântânile Reci from Baia Mare using public transport, take a bus from the Baia Mare Bus Station to Sighetu Marmației. The bus ride takes around 1 hour and the fare is approximately 10-15 RON. Once you arrive at Sighetu Marmației, you will need to catch a local bus heading towards Desești. The bus should take about 30 minutes, and the fare is around 5 RON. After getting off in Desești, you can either walk to Fântânile Reci, which is about a 5 km trek, or ask locals for a taxi service, which may cost around 20-30 RON.
