Getting There

  • Car

    From Poiana Brasov, head southwest on the DN1E road towards the town of Rasnov. Continue on this road for about 13 kilometers until you reach the intersection with DN1. Turn left onto DN1, and follow the signs towards Cheia. After approximately 12 kilometers, you will see signs for Cheia Monastery. Continue straight until you enter the village of Cheia. The monastery will be on your right side. Look for the parking area nearby.

    Begin your journey from Poiana Brasov by taking a local bus to Brasov city center. The bus stop is located near the main entrance to the resort. Once in Brasov, transfer to a bus heading to Cheia. Buses to Cheia usually depart from the Autogara 2 (the second bus station). The journey will take about 30-40 minutes. Upon arrival in Cheia, the monastery is within walking distance. Exit the bus and walk towards the main road, the monastery will be visible nearby. Follow the signs to reach the entrance.
