Car
If you're driving, start from the main road in Prahova Valley (DN1). Head towards Bușteni and then to the area of the Bucegi Mountains. You will need to navigate towards the entrance of the Bucegi Natural Park. Once you reach the park entrance, look for signs directing you to the hiking trails. The closest parking area is located at the entrance to the park. From the parking area, you will need to hike approximately 2-3 hours to reach Brâna Caprelor. Make sure your vehicle can handle mountainous terrain and check for any parking fees, which can vary by season.
Public Transportation
To reach Brâna Caprelor via public transportation, take a train or bus to Bușteni from Bucharest. Once you arrive in Bușteni, head to the local bus station or ask for directions to the cable car station. Take the cable car up to Babele (this incurs a fee, typically around 30-40 RON for a round trip). From Babele, follow the marked hiking trails towards Brâna Caprelor. The hike will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Be sure to check the cable car operating hours in advance as they can vary.
Hiking
If you are already in the vicinity and prefer to hike, start from the trailhead at the cable car station at Babele. Follow the signs indicating the route to Brâna Caprelor.
