If you are traveling by car, start from the main road in Prahova Valley, such as DN1 (E60) or DN73. Head towards the town of Târgoviște if you're coming from Sinaia or Bușteni. From Târgoviște, take the DJ720 road heading towards Podu Dâmboviței. Continue on DJ720 until you reach the intersection with DJ730. Turn right onto DJ730, and follow the signs to Cheile Dâmbovicioarei. The drive will take approximately 1 hour from Târgoviște, with beautiful scenery along the way. Make sure to keep an eye out for the signs indicating Cheile Dâmbovicioarei as you approach.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a train from Bucharest to Târgoviște. The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. From the Târgoviște train station, you can catch a local bus or a taxi to Podu Dâmboviței. Ensure to check the local bus schedules as they may vary. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Podu Dâmboviței, you can either walk or arrange for a taxi to take you to Cheile Dâmbovicioarei, which is about 8 km away. Be prepared for potential taxi fares which typically range from 30 to 50 RON.
