Car
If you're driving from Ploiești, take the DN1 road towards Brașov. After approximately 35 km, take the exit for DN1A towards Cheia/Vama Buzăului. Continue on DN1A for about 30 km until you reach Vama Buzăului. Once in Vama Buzăului, follow the signs for Cascada Pirușca. You may need to park your car at the designated parking area and walk a short distance to reach the waterfall.
Public Transportation
From Ploiești, take a train to Brașov. Trains run frequently and the journey takes roughly 1 hour. Once at Brașov, switch to a bus heading to Vama Buzăului. Buses depart from the Brașov bus station and the trip takes about 30 minutes. Upon arriving in Vama Buzăului, you can walk to Cascada Pirușca, which is approximately a 1.5 km hike from the bus stop. Be prepared for some moderate walking.
Hiking
If you are already in Vama Buzăului, you can access Cascada Pirușca via a hiking trail. The trail begins near the village center and is well-marked. It usually takes around 30-45 minutes to hike to the waterfall. It’s advisable to wear sturdy hiking shoes and carry water, as the trail can be rocky in places.
