If you are driving from the center of Prahova, take DN1 towards Brașov. Continue on DN1 for about 40 km until you reach Brașov. Once in Brașov, follow signs for the city center. As you approach the city center, look for Piata Sfatului, a central square. From Piata Sfatului, follow Strada Michael Weiss, which will lead you towards Catherine Gate. There is limited street parking near the gate, so be prepared to find a parking spot and possibly pay for parking, which can range from 2 to 5 RON per hour.
Public Transportation
To reach Catherine Gate using public transportation, you can take a train from the Prahova train station to Brașov. Trains run frequently, and the journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Brașov train station, you can either take a taxi or use public buses to get to the city center. If you choose the bus, take bus line 4 or 51 towards the city center. Get off at the stop near Piata Sfatului. From there, walk down Strada Michael Weiss to reach Catherine Gate. Keep in mind that bus tickets cost around 3 RON each and can be purchased at the station or from bus drivers.
