Car
If you're driving, start from the nearest major city, which is Deva. Take DN7 towards the town of Hateg. Once in Hateg, follow the signs to Retezat National Park. Park your car at the entrance of the park, at the main parking area near the Rausor Chalet. Note that there may be a small parking fee, typically around 5-10 RON (Romanian Lei). From the parking area, follow the marked hiking trails towards Vf. Retezat.

Take a train or bus to Hateg from major cities like Timisoara or Bucharest. Upon arrival in Hateg, you can take a local bus or taxi to the Rausor Chalet, which is the closest access point to Retezat National Park.
