After approximately 40 km, you will reach the town of Năsăud. Continue on DN17 for about 15 km until you see signs for the Rodna Mountains National Park. Follow the signs toward the park entrance, which is well-marked. Note that parking might incur a small fee, typically around 10 RON.
Public Transportation
To reach the Rodna Mountains via public transport, start from Bistrita. Take a bus from Bistrita's central bus station to Năsăud. Buses run frequently, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once in Năsăud, transfer to a local bus that heads towards the Rodna Mountains. Make sure to ask the bus driver to drop you off at the closest stop to the park entrance. The bus fare should be around 10-15 RON for the entire trip.
