Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Zalău, the capital of Sălaj County. Head southeast on DN1H towards Șimleu Silvaniei for about 10 km. Continue on DN1H until you reach the intersection with DJ108C. Turn right onto DJ108C and follow the signs towards Liteni. After about 15 km, you will arrive at the village of Liteni. Follow the local signs to Cetatea Liteni, which will be located just on the outskirts of the village.
Public Transportation
For those using public transport, take a bus from Zalău to Șimleu Silvaniei. Buses run frequently from the Zalău Bus Station. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. From Șimleu Silvaniei, you will need to catch a local minibus or taxi to Liteni, which is about 10 km away. Make sure to check the local bus schedules or ask at the bus station for the minibus timings to ensure a smooth connection.
Walking
Once you arrive in Liteni, if you wish to explore the area around the fortress, you can walk to Cetatea Liteni. It is a short walk from the village center, approximately 1 km. Follow the signs towards the fortress, and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.
