From Arad, head to the Arad Central Railway Station (Gara Centrală Arad). Take the train towards Timișoara. The travel time is approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Timișoara Nord station, exit the train station and head to the bus stop located just outside the station. Take bus line 14 towards 'Dâmbovița' and disembark at the 'Mărășești' stop. The Stronghold Synagogue will be a short walk from there, located at Strada Mărășești 6.

If you find yourself in the center of Arad, start at the Vasile Goldiș University area. Walk towards the pedestrian street (Bulevardul Revoluției) and head south. Continue walking straight until you reach the train station (Gara Centrală). From there, you can board a train to Timișoara, as described above. Alternatively, if you prefer to walk after arriving in Timișoara, after getting off at Timișoara Nord, walk towards the city center and then follow the bus instructions to reach the synagogue.
