If you are driving from Râmnicu Vâlcea, take DN7 towards Sibiu. After approximately 35 km, look for the signs directing you towards Voineasa (DN7A). Continue on DN7A for about 30 km until you reach Voineasa. Once in Voineasa, follow the local signs to Lake Gâlcescu, which is located a short drive from the town center. There is no parking fee at the lake.

To reach Lake Gâlcescu by public transport from Râmnicu Vâlcea, take a bus to Voineasa. Buses usually depart from the central bus station (Autogara Râmnicu Vâlcea). The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Upon arriving in Voineasa, you can reach Lake Gâlcescu by taxi or by walking approximately 3 km. Note that taxi prices may vary, so agree on a fare before starting the ride.
