    If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Vâlcea. Head southeast on Strada 1 Decembrie towards Strada Nicolae Titulescu. Continue on DN7 for about 20 km. When you reach Călimănești, take the exit toward Strada Aurel Vlaicu. Drive along Aurel Vlaicu for approximately 2 km until you reach Schitul Ostrov, located at Strada Aurel Vlaicu 13, Călimănești 245600. There is usually free parking available near the monastery.

    If you prefer using public transportation, you can take a train from Râmnicu Vâlcea to Călimănești. Trains run regularly, and the journey takes about 30 minutes.
