Car
If you're driving from the city of Râmnicu Vâlcea, take DN67 towards Horezu. The drive is approximately 35 kilometers and will take around 45 minutes. Once you reach Horezu, follow the signs for the Horezu Monastery, as the Horezu River runs close by. You can park your car at the monastery and then proceed on foot to the river, which is about a 15-minute walk.
Bus
You can catch a bus from Râmnicu Vâlcea to Horezu. The buses leave frequently from the central bus station (Autogara Râmnicu Vâlcea). The journey takes about 1 hour and costs approximately 10 RON. Upon arriving in Horezu, you can ask locals for directions to the Horezu River or follow the road signs towards Horezu Monastery and walk for about 15 minutes.
Taxi
For a more comfortable option, you can take a taxi from Râmnicu Vâlcea directly to Horezu. This will cost around 100 RON and take about 45 minutes. Once you reach Horezu, you can ask the driver to drop you off near the Horezu Monastery, which is a short walk from the river.
