If you are traveling by car from Vâlcea, start your journey by heading northeast on DN7 towards Râmnicu Vâlcea. Continue on DN7 for approximately 25 km until you reach the town of Voineasa. As you approach Voineasa, look for signs directing you to Transalpina King’s Road (DJ 675). Turn onto DJ 675, which will take you onto the scenic Transalpina road. The total drive will take about 1 hour.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a train or a bus from Vâlcea to Râmnicu Vâlcea. From the train station or bus terminal in Râmnicu Vâlcea, you can find local buses heading to Voineasa. Make sure to check the schedule in advance, as the frequency may vary. Once you arrive in Voineasa, you can either walk or take a taxi to the starting point of Transalpina King’s Road. The total travel time may take around 2-3 hours depending on connections.
