Take DN7 (E81) south towards the town of Călimănești, then continue on DN7 until you reach the junction for DN67C towards Voineasa. Follow DN67C through Voineasa, and keep an eye out for signs directing you to Munţii Latoriţei. The journey from Râmnicu Vâlcea to Munţii Latoriţei takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. Ensure your vehicle is equipped for mountain driving, especially if traveling in winter.
Public Transportation - Bus
To reach Munţii Latoriţei by public transport, start from Râmnicu Vâlcea. Head to the local bus station (Autogara Râmnicu Vâlcea) and look for buses heading to Voineasa. Buses typically run several times a day, and the journey takes around 1.5 hours. After arriving in Voineasa, you may need to take a taxi or arrange for a local ride to reach Munţii Latoriţei, as it is about 10 kilometers from the town. Taxi fares can vary, so it's advisable to confirm the price before starting your journey.
Public Transportation - Train and Taxi
Alternatively, you can take a train from Bucharest to Râmnicu Vâlcea. After arriving at the Râmnicu Vâlcea train station, follow the instructions for public transport by bus as described above. If you prefer a more direct route, you can also hire a taxi from the train station to Munţii Latoriţei, which may cost around 150-200 RON (approximately 30-40 EUR).
