If you are driving in Wallachia, start your journey from the nearest major city, such as Bucharest. Take the A1 highway towards Pitești. After approximately 90 kilometers, take exit 39 toward Râmnicu Vâlcea. Follow the signs for DJ678, and continue for about 30 kilometers until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left fork onto DN67. Continue for another 20 kilometers, and you will see signs for Castelul de Apă. The destination will be on your right. Make sure to have some cash, as tolls may apply along the highway.

To reach Castelul de Apă via public transport, take a train from Bucharest to Râmnicu Vâlcea. Trains run frequently and the journey takes about 2.5 to 3 hours. Once you arrive at the Râmnicu Vâlcea train station, you can take bus number 12 towards Bălcești. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Castelul de Apă' stop.
