If you have access to a car, start from the center of Bugesera. Head northwest on the main road towards Kigali. Continue on this road for about 30 kilometers until you reach the Kiyovu area in Kigali. The Gorilla Statue is located at the coordinates: -1.9484138 latitude and 30.0610486 longitude. You can use a GPS device or a maps application on your smartphone to guide you directly. There is usually parking available nearby, but be prepared for potential parking fees.
Public Transportation
To reach the Gorilla Statue using public transportation, you can take a matatu (minibus) from Bugesera to Kigali. Head to the nearest bus station in Bugesera and find a matatu heading towards the Kigali central bus terminal. The fare is approximately 500 RWF. Upon arriving in Kigali, you can take a moto-taxi (motorcycle taxi) to Kiyovu for around 1000 RWF.
