Turn left onto Avenue de la Paix and continue walking for about 15-20 minutes. You will pass various shops and local eateries along the way. Once you reach the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenue de l'Indépendance. Keep walking straight until you reach the main road leading out of Butare city. Follow the road, and after approximately 30-40 minutes, you will see the sign for Kibagabaga Genocide Memorial on your right. The memorial is located at 3489+3R6, Kigali, approximately 3 kilometers from the city center.
