Private Car
From Byumba town center, head northwest on Avenue de la Révolution towards Avenue de l'Indépendance. Continue for about 10 km until you reach the junction at Nyakinama. Turn left onto the Nyakinama road and continue for another 5 km. The Volcanoes Forest Camp is located at FJW5+GQ9, Nyakinama. Look for signs indicating the camp; it will be on your left.
Public Transportation (Bus)
To reach Volcanoes Forest Camp via public transportation, start at the main bus station in Byumba. Take a bus heading towards Nyakinama. The journey should take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Nyakinama, ask the driver or locals for directions to Volcanoes Forest Camp, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop. Ensure to confirm with the bus driver if they stop near the camp.
Motorbike Taxi (Moto)
You can also opt for a motorbike taxi from Byumba to Volcanoes Forest Camp. Negotiate the fare before starting your journey. The ride will take approximately 20 minutes, and the drivers are generally familiar with the camp location. Ensure to wear a helmet for safety.
