Car

If you have a car or are renting one, start from the center of Cyangugu. Head southeast on Avenue de la Paix towards the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the Nyanza road (Route Nationale 1). Continue on this road for about 20 kilometers. You will pass through several small towns. Follow the signs towards Butare. Once you reach Butare, look for signs for Hotel Mont Huye, which is located at GPS coordinates 9PXR+3PP. The hotel will be on your right as you approach.

Public Transportation

To reach Hotel Mont Huye by public transport, start at the main bus station in Cyangugu. Look for a bus heading to Butare. The fare is approximately RWF 1,000 - 2,000, and the journey takes about 45 minutes to an hour. Once you arrive in Butare, ask the driver to drop you off near the hotel or use a local moto-taxi (which costs around RWF 500 - 1,000) to take you directly to Hotel Mont Huye, located at GPS coordinates 9PXR+3PP.
