If you are traveling by car, start from the city center of Kigali. Head east on Avenue de la Riviere towards Avenue de la Paix. Continue straight onto the N1 highway and follow the signs for Akagera National Park. You will need to drive approximately 2 hours (around 120 km). Once you reach the park entrance, follow the signs to Akagera Live Tours, which is located at the park office. Note that you may need to pay an entrance fee for the park, which can vary, so be prepared for additional costs.

To reach Akagera Live Tours using public transportation, you can take a bus from Kigali to Kayonza or Akagera National Park. Buses leave regularly from the Nyabugogo Bus Station in Kigali. Once you arrive at Kayonza, you can take a moto-taxi (motorcycle taxi) or a shared taxi to the park entrance. The total travel time can take around 3 to 4 hours, depending on wait times and traffic.
