Once you reach the park entrance, follow the signs to Akagera Live Tours, which is located at the park office. Note that you may need to pay an entrance fee for the park, which can vary, so be prepared for additional costs.

To reach Akagera Live Tours using public transportation, you can take a bus from Kigali to Kayonza or Akagera National Park. Buses leave regularly from the Nyabugogo Bus Station in Kigali. Once you arrive at Kayonza, you can take a moto-taxi (motorcycle taxi) or a shared taxi to the park entrance. The total travel time can take around 3 to 4 hours, depending on wait times and traffic. Make sure to ask the bus conductor to inform you when to get off. Additionally, you should budget for the bus fare (approximately RWF 1,500 to RWF 3,000) and the moto-taxi fare (around RWF 3,000 to RWF 5,000).
