Getting There

Car
If you are driving from the town of Kayonza, head east on the RN3 road. Follow the road for approximately 18 km until you reach the town of Rwimiyaga. From there, take the left turn onto the dirt road towards Rwandezi. Continue on this road for about 7 km, and you will arrive at Rwandezi. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for dirt roads, as some sections may be rough.

Public Transportation
Start your journey from Kayonza by taking a moto-taxi (motorcycle taxi) to the bus station. At the station, look for a bus heading towards Rwamagana. Inform the bus conductor that you would like to get off at Rwimiyaga. The fare is generally around 500 Rwandan Francs. Once you arrive in Rwimiyaga, hire a moto-taxi to take you the remaining 7 km to Rwandezi. The cost for the moto-taxi from Rwimiyaga to Rwandezi should be around 1000 Rwandan Francs.

If you are nearby and prefer to walk, you can start from the center of Rwimiyaga. Head southeast on the dirt road that leads directly to Rwandezi. It is approximately a 7 km walk, which should take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear, as the path can be uneven and muddy in places, especially during rainy seasons.
