Car
If you are driving from Kigali, head east on the Kigali to Bugesera Road (also known as the Nyundo Road). Continue for approximately 30 km until you reach the junction at Rwamagana. Take a left turn towards Mulinja. Follow the signs for Bugesera Lodge, which is located in Karumuna Bugesera, Mulinja. The lodge is about 15 km from the junction. Look out for the lodge on your right. Parking is available on site.
Public Transportation
To reach Bugesera Lodge using public transportation, start at the Nyabugogo Bus Terminal in Kigali. Take a bus heading towards Rwamagana. The bus ride will take about 1-1.5 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive at Rwamagana, you will need to catch a moto-taxi or a local taxi to Mulinja, which will cost approximately 2,000 Rwandan Francs. Inform the driver that you want to go to Bugesera Lodge in Karumuna Bugesera. The ride should take about 20-30 minutes. The lodge is located about 15 km from Rwamagana.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Kigali directly to Bugesera Lodge. This option will be more expensive, costing around 20,000 to 30,000 Rwandan Francs. The driver will take the same route as if you were driving yourself, which takes about 1 hour. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
