Car
If you are driving from anywhere in the Eastern Province, head towards Kigali. You will want to take the RN3 road, which is the primary route connecting the Eastern Province to Kigali. After approximately 2 hours of driving, depending on traffic, follow the signs for 'Kigali City Center'. As you approach the city, you will enter a roundabout; take the first exit onto KN 90 Street. The Kandt House Museum will be on your right. Look for parking options nearby, as street parking might be limited.

Public Transportation
To reach Kandt House Museum using public transportation, start by taking a bus from your location in the Eastern Province to Kigali. Buses frequently depart from major towns like Rwamagana or Nyagatare and will take about 2 to 3 hours. Once you arrive at the Nyabugogo bus terminal in Kigali, exit the terminal and look for a moto-taxi (motorcycle taxi) or a taxi-brousse (shared taxi) heading to Kandt House. Instruct the driver to drop you off at KN 90 Street. The museum is a short walk from the drop-off point.

Walking from public transport
If you arrive at the Nyabugogo bus terminal and prefer to walk to the museum, exit the terminal and head towards the main road (Avenue de la Justice). Walk straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with KN 90 Street. Turn right on KN 90 Street, and continue straight for about 500 meters. The Kandt House Museum will be on your left. This walk will take approximately 20-25 minutes.
