Car
If you are driving from Kigali, start by heading east on the RN1 highway. Continue for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the Nyamata Road turn-off. Take a left onto Nyamata Road and continue for about 5 kilometers. The Palast Rock Hotel will be on your left. Make sure to follow local traffic rules, and be aware of any tolls that might apply on the highway.
Public Transportation
To reach Palast Rock Hotel using public transportation from Kigali, head to the Nyabugogo bus terminal. Look for buses headed toward Bugesera or Nyamata. The fare is usually around 500 RWF. After approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour of travel, get off at the stop closest to Nyamata Road. From there, you may need to walk about 1 kilometer along Nyamata Road to reach the hotel. Alternatively, you can hire a motorcycle taxi (known as 'moto') from the bus stop to the hotel, which should cost around 1,000 RWF.
Taxi
For a more direct option, you can hire a taxi from Kigali. The journey will take around 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. It is advisable to negotiate the fare beforehand, which should typically range between 10,000 to 15,000 RWF. The taxi will take you directly to Palast Rock Hotel on Nyamata Road.
