    If you are driving, start from the center of Gikongoro town. Head south on the main road (N6) towards Butare. After about 15 kilometers, look for the sign for Nyungwe Forest National Park on your right. Turn onto the access road leading into the park. Continue on this road for approximately 10 kilometers, following the signs until you reach the park entrance at CJW3+4CM, Colline Sanga. There is parking available at the entrance.

    To get to Nyungwe Forest National Park using public transport, start at the Gikongoro bus station. Take a bus heading towards Butare. After about 15 kilometers, ask the driver to drop you off at the Nyungwe Park junction. From there, you may need to take a moto-taxi or walk for about 10 kilometers following the signs towards the park entrance at CJW3+4CM, Colline Sanga. Ensure to confirm with the driver or locals on the best drop-off point for the park.
