Getting There

Walking
From the center of Gisenyi, head towards the main road (A1). Walk along Avenue de la Révolution until you reach the roundabout. Continue straight on the A1 road towards Rubavu. You will pass by several local shops and markets. Keep walking for about 3 kilometers until you reach the sign for Nyakinama. From there, follow the local signs towards Volcanoes Forest Camp, which is about another 2 kilometers up the road. The path may become less urban, so keep an eye out for the entrance, which is marked with a sign.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Gisenyi. Head towards Avenue de la Révolution and take the A1 road towards Rubavu.
