Getting There

Private Car
From Byumba, head northwest on the main road towards Ruhengeri. Continue for about 30 kilometers until you reach the junction leading to Ruhengeri. Take a left turn at the junction. After about 5 kilometers, you will see a sign for Agasumo ka Mukinga waterfalls. Turn right and follow the dirt road for approximately 2 kilometers. There is a small parking area near the waterfalls where you can leave your car.

Public Transportation (Minibus)
From the Byumba bus station, take a minibus heading towards Ruhengeri. The journey takes about 45 minutes and costs around 500 Rwandan Francs. Once you arrive in Ruhengeri, look for a motorcycle taxi (moto) stand. Negotiate a fare (approximately 2000 Rwandan Francs) for a ride to Agasumo ka Mukinga waterfalls.
