Walking
From the center of Gisenyi, head south towards the main road (A1). Walk along the A1 road until you reach the roundabout near the border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Continue straight on the A1, following the signs towards Kayumba. After approximately 5 kilometers, you will see a sign for Ntarama Genocide Memorial. Turn right onto the road leading to the memorial, which is about 1 kilometer ahead. The memorial will be on your left.
Bicycle
If you're renting a bicycle in Gisenyi, start at the main waterfront area. Cycle south on the A1 road, passing by various shops and local sights. Continue straight for about 5 kilometers, taking in the scenic views. Keep an eye out for the sign indicating Ntarama Genocide Memorial and make a right turn onto the road leading to the memorial. It will be approximately 1 kilometer ahead on your left. Ensure you wear a helmet and be cautious of local traffic.
