    If you are starting from the center of Karongi, head towards the main road (Avenue du Lac). You should see signs directing you to Kiyovu. Walk along Avenue du Lac for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with the road leading to Kiyovu. At the junction, turn left onto the Kiyovu road and continue straight. After about 500 meters, you will see the Gorilla Statue on your right, just off the road.

    Starting from central Karongi, rent a bicycle and ride along Avenue du Lac heading towards Kiyovu. Follow the same route as for walking, which is approximately 2 kilometers. When you reach the junction, turn left and continue biking for another 500 meters. The Gorilla Statue will be on your right-hand side. Make sure to watch for any pedestrians or vehicles along the way.

    From central Karongi, locate the nearest bus stop or taxi-brousse station. Take a local bus or shared taxi heading towards Kigali and ask the driver to drop you off at Kiyovu.
