After walking for about 15 minutes, you will see a sign indicating the turn-off to the memorial. Follow the dirt path leading to the memorial site, which is about 500 meters from the main road.

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Karongi. Start from the main square and ride east on Avenue de la Paix. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach Route Nationale 1. Turn left onto Route Nationale 1 and cycle for approximately 2 kilometers. Look for signs for Ntarama Genocide Memorial. When you see the sign, take the dirt path that leads to the memorial, which is about 500 meters away from the main road. The total cycling distance is approximately 3.5 kilometers.
