Car
Start in the center of Kibungo and head northwest on the main road (RN6) towards Kigali. Continue on RN6 for approximately 45 kilometers. As you approach Kigali, follow the signs to the city center. Once in the city, navigate to Kiyovu neighborhood. The Gorilla Statue is located in Kiyovu, which is a well-known area. Parking may be available nearby, but be mindful of local parking regulations.
Public Transportation
From Kibungo, take a bus or shared taxi heading to Kigali. The journey will take about 1 to 1.5 hours depending on traffic. Upon arrival in Kigali, you can take a motorcycle taxi (moto) or walk to Kiyovu neighborhood. If taking a moto, tell the driver to take you to the Gorilla Statue in Kiyovu. The fare for the moto should be approximately 1,000 RWF (Rwandan Francs).
