Getting There

Car

From Kibungo, head northwest on the RN2 road towards Kigali. After approximately 50 kilometers, take the exit towards the RN1 road leading to Musanze/Ruhengeri. Continue on RN1 for about 90 kilometers until you reach the town of Musanze. From Musanze, follow the signs to Volcanoes National Park. Wilderness Bisate is located within the park, approximately 15 kilometers from Musanze town. Expect to pay a park entrance fee, which typically costs around $50 per person.
Public Transportation

To reach Wilderness Bisate by public transport, start at the main bus station in Kibungo. Take a bus heading towards Kigali and get off at the Nyabugogo bus terminal. From there, find a bus to Musanze. Once in Musanze, you may need to hire a motorcycle taxi (commonly known as 'moto') or a private taxi to reach Wilderness Bisate, which is about 15 kilometers away from Musanze town. The moto fare should be around RWF 5,000 to 7,000. Be prepared to pay the entrance fee to Volcanoes National Park as you will need to access the park to reach the lodge.
