Walking
If you are starting from the city center, head towards the Nyabugogo area where you can find the main bus station. From there, take a moto-taxi (motorcycle taxi) to Karudandi. Ask the driver to take you to the base of Mount Kigali Forest. Once you arrive at the base, follow the signs for hiking trails leading up the mountain. The trails are clearly marked and you can enjoy the scenic views as you ascend.

From the Kigali City Center, you can take a public bus towards Nyabugogo. Once at Nyabugogo, transfer to a bus heading to Kicukiro. Get off at the Kicukiro bus stop and then take a moto-taxi to Mount Kigali Forest. Ensure to tell the driver to drop you off at the entrance or the base of the hiking trails.

For a more direct route, you can book a moto-taxi from anywhere in Kigali. Simply provide the driver with the location '22PV+26, Kigali' or ask them to take you to Mount Kigali Forest. The ride should take around 15-30 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey.
